What DanXing is

DanXing is a local-first iOS alarm app. It helps you create alarms, use short wake missions, manage snooze behavior, play alarm sounds, and view local morning reports.

This policy describes the current DanXing app and website. If future versions add accounts, cloud sync, subscriptions, advertising, or additional third-party services, this policy and the App Store privacy details must be updated before those features are released.

Data stored on your device

DanXing stores alarm settings, wake mission settings, snooze settings, sound preferences, wake session records, morning report details, permission state, progression data, and local diagnostic logs on your device.

This data is used to provide core app functionality, including scheduling alarms, starting the wake flow, running missions, restoring alarm state, recording achievements, and helping you understand recent wake sessions.

Alarm settings, wake-session records, reports, and progression data are not uploaded to DanXing servers as part of the core alarm flow.

Anonymous onboarding attribution

After your first alarm has been saved locally, DanXing may submit a limited anonymous onboarding record to Supabase. This side path does not control alarm creation or the wake flow, and a failed upload does not block the alarm.

The record may include a random submission identifier, how you heard about DanXing, a general wake-up pattern, app version, local alarm time, selected mission, selected sound, normalized snooze option, submission context, and creation timestamp.

This record does not include your name, email address, Apple ID, device token, exact alarm date, time zone, or custom ringtone filename. Production submissions are deduplicated at the installation level.

Permissions

DanXing may ask for notification permission so it can schedule alarm notifications. You can change notification access in iOS Settings.

DanXing uses motion data only while an active Walking or Shake mission counts movement and determines completion. This data is used on the device for the mission flow.

Microphone access is requested only when you choose to record a custom alarm sound. Media-library access is requested only when you choose to import an exportable Apple Music item. Recordings and imported custom sounds are stored on your device.

DanXing may use Live Activities or similar Apple system surfaces to show alarm status. Those surfaces are helpful entry points, not the source of truth for alarm state.

Data you send to us

If you use the in-app feedback feature, we receive the category you select, your written message, and any screenshots you choose to attach. We also receive limited technical context needed to investigate the report: app version and build, iOS version, device family, app language, source screen, a random submission identifier, and submission timestamp.

Screenshots can contain notifications, names, or other personal information visible on your screen. Review them before submitting. DanXing converts selected images to JPEG before upload and does not intentionally upload the original photo file or its removable metadata.

If you answer an in-app experience survey, we receive your 1–5 satisfaction score, the product areas you select, an optional written explanation, app version and build, app language, a survey campaign identifier, a random submission identifier, and submission timestamp. The same questions and thank-you flow are used for every score, and survey responses are not used to redirect you to an App Store rating prompt.

To prevent forged submissions, Apple App Attest creates a random per-installation key identifier. DanXing stores that identifier, its public verification key, and a monotonic assertion counter on the server. This verification data is used only to authenticate feedback and survey requests and is not linked to your Apple ID, name, or email address.

If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address and the content of your message. We use that information to respond, provide support, and improve the product.

Submitting feedback, screenshots, a survey response, or contact information is optional. Core alarm functionality does not require an account or any of these submissions.

Website and technical logs

When you visit this website, the hosting provider may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and requested pages for security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and website operation.

The current website does not intentionally use advertising trackers or sell personal data.

Third parties and tracking

The current DanXing app does not include third-party advertising SDKs, does not sell personal data, and does not track you across apps or websites for advertising purposes.

Supabase is used for the limited anonymous onboarding attribution described above and for user-initiated feedback, problem reports, screenshots, and experience-survey responses. It is not used to execute alarms, sync accounts, or upload wake reports.

If future builds add analytics, crash reporting, cloud sync, payment processing, or other third-party services, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy details.

Retention and deletion

Local alarm data, preferences, wake sessions, reports, progression, and diagnostics remain on your device until you delete them in the app, clear app data where available, or uninstall the app.

Emails and support messages may be retained as long as needed to respond, maintain records, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion of support contact information by emailing info@danxing.app.

Submitted feedback screenshots are scheduled for deletion after 90 days. Feedback text and experience-survey responses are scheduled for deletion after 365 days. Short-lived verification challenges and pseudonymous abuse-prevention events are normally deleted within two days. App Attest verification keys that have not successfully verified a request for 365 days are scheduled for deletion; the app can register a new key if you submit again later. A report saved locally because upload failed remains on your device until it uploads successfully or you uninstall the app.

Children

DanXing is not directed to children and is not intended for the App Store Kids Category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We use a local-first design to reduce unnecessary data transmission. In-app feedback submission uses Apple App Attest checks, restricted server-side access, and private screenshot storage. No storage or transmission method is perfectly secure, but we aim to collect only what is needed for support and product improvement.
